A recent service and very special celebration marked the 32nd Anniversary of Pastor Esther De La Cruz's dedication and commitment to "Reaching & Building People" at Canaan Assembly of God Church.
In 1979, Pastor Esther and her children fell victim to an awful tragedy that claimed the life of Pastor Ernesto De La Cruz. A young widow and mother of five, Esther felt the calling of the ministry and trusted God to lead her and guide her through the difficult time and as she answered that call. She was installed as Pastor in 1979 as a licensed minister of the Assemblies of God. With a heart for the hurting, She has served the people with unconditional love lending a helping hand in any way she can. She is eager to guide and mentor those that are seeking a more personal relationship with Jesus and live a life that's pleasing to him. Her legacy of a Christ-like love has been evident through the many years she has served as Pastor at Canaan Church.
